Inverness Golf Club Accounting / HR Assistant Position

Position: Accounting / HR Assistant / Full Time

Open: Immediately

Department: Accounting

Reports To: Controller

Supervises: Accounts Payable

Supports: Controller / HR

Job Summary:

Established in 1955, Inverness Golf Club has been a pillar of the Inverness Community with long standing traditions. The Club is now seeking its next Controller's Assistant. The IGC Controller's Assistant will work closely with the Club's Controller and responsible for Accounts Receivable, Payroll primarily and assist in Accounts Payable and various HR duties.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Processing of Accounts Receivable
  • Closing daily POS Systems
  • Membership billing & process payments
  • Add new members to ACH system and load into Database.
  • Assist with reconciling of Bank Recs.
  • Processing of Biweekly Payroll
  • Coordinate time sheet reporting with Department Heads
  • Process Lesson Income
  • Onboarding of New Employees via Paycor Payroll System
  • Assist with employee health benefits.
  • Assist with HR Duties as designated
  • Assist Controller with EOM inventory reconciliation.
  • Assist with Accounts Payable
  • Order Office Supplies as needed
  • Other duties as agreed upon and delegated by Controller.

Preferred Qualifications/Requirements:

Education:

  • Associates or bachelor's degree (BA) from a four-year in Business, Finance or similar or three to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Necessary Experience:

  • The ideal candidate will have aminimum of 3 years or more experience in a similar role.
  • This person will have an excellent knowledge of Computers, POS Systems & related software as it pertains to the position.
  • Hospitality and or Private Club Experience is preferred.
  • Experience with Payroll & Onboarding Systems
  • HR & Benefit Experience a Plus

Compensation: The Assistant Controller of Inverness Golf Club will be offered a generous salary along with a competitive benefit package to include:

  • Annual Salary of $43,000-$50,000 - (Based on Required Experience)
