Zurich is currently searching for a Business Systems Analyst III to work out of our Zurich North American headquarters in Schaumburg, IL. The Business Systems Analyst III will: serve as a liaison between the Business and IT to provide solutions to their business systems' needs; understand customers objectives, processes, and products as well as the business systems capabilities to formulate, define, document and implemen systems scope and objectives to develop and provides solutions.
Job Accountabilities:
+ Coordinate and lead activities with business owners to gather detailed requirements from through interviews, documentation and facilitated working sessions for approved projects and enhancements.
+ Monitor business decisions and manage requirements documentation and communication.
+ Lead analysis of requirements to determine the systems' potential and define impact to other business units and systems. In addition, provide input to the development effort.
+ Create process models based on business requirements in order to determine the completeness of the information and process components.
+ Provide Customers with cost/benefit analysis, risk assessment, scope definition of proposed requirements.
+ Guide users in building business case; perform impact analysis; support application testing, implementation and training activities throughout the process.
+ Lead individual or sub project tasks affecting single or multiple business and IT departments.
+ Evaluate project impact through consultation with the business, regulatory, Information Technology management, development, quality assurance, validation, and training teams.
+ Support system configuration and integration testing including the functionality, performance and fit to ensure original requirements are met.
+ Manage work plans, timelines and budgets.
+ Evaluate relative feedback and Return On Investment to effectively prioritize projects.
+ Partner with stakeholders to identify necessary department resources to meet defined objectives.
+ Perform business process modeling and re-engineering based on business requirements in order to determine the completeness of the information and process components.
+ Utilize Unified Modeling Language tools in creating Use Cases, Class and Sequence Diagrams based on the product design documentation.
+ Perform system configuration and integration testing including the functionality, performance and fit to ensure original requirements are met.
+ Mentor team members in technology, architecture and delivery of applications.
Basic Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Computer Science or Engineering and 8 or more years of experience in the Information Technology areaOR
+ High School Diploma or Equivalent and 10 or more years of experience in the Information Technology areaAND
+ Process reengineering; LEAN/Six Sigma experience
+ Experience with process modeling tools
+ Insurance application system design/analysis experience
+ Experience with use case development
+ Experience with Rapid Application Development (RAD) tools/techniques
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP)
+ Advanced Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) skills
+ Consulting experience
+ Experience in a analytical role on complex enterprise projects
+ Knowledge of financial services industry
+ In-depth knowledge of insurance business processes and processing
+ Strong analytical skills
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills
