We are flexible and skilled at multi-tasking to accomplish the organization's goals.The Role:The Manager, Media Communication will join our Corporate Communications Marketing team and will be part of a fast-paced and collaborative marketing team, helping to strengthen the value of BCU brand and member experiences through persistent support of communications strategies particularly in the areas of B2C / B2B marketing with a strong focus on Financial Well-being, media relations and publicity, brand, presentations for our leadership team and video scripting.What you'll be doing:We are looking for an energetic, detail-oriented communications professional and enthusiastic brand-culture leader with exceptional copywriting and management skills. This individual should have experience in developing cross-channel communications including press releases, brand activations, video scripts and PowerPoint presentations all while creating actionable, compelling copy that drives and creates exceptional brand experiences!Role and ResponsibilitiesWork with internal stakeholders to design, develop, and implement communications plans, processes, and content to drive key aspects of the strategy. This includes but is not limited to B2C / B2B marketing with a strong focus on media relations and publicity, brand, presentations for our leadership team and video scripting.Responsibilities include copywriting, editing, proofing and reviewing content to drive communication and marketing strategies that support organizational programs, initiatives, priorities, and efforts to successfully convey the BCU brand.Develop and maintain defined communication standards and objectives for content, messaging and delivery to remain accurate, current, consistent, high quality and aligned with defined BCU brand standards.Develop impactful media relations and publicity communications plans that include managing external media opportunities for BCU, writing and disseminating press releases, monitoring news and Google alerts and proactively finding opportunities to strengthen BCU's brand.Develop talking point/scripting needs, both for internal and external initiatives for both videos and presentations. This includes leadership scripts, advertisements, and paid media.Collaborate with others on the Corporate Communications team to write and edit timely business-wide communications in support of strategic priorities (e.g., leadership messages, news stories, articles, surveys, talking points, business-wide content, website pages, etc.)Create PowerPoint presentations that tell the story in a visually pleasing wayDevelop relationships within organization Develop and present presentations, dashboards, and other materialsInitiate ideas and actions on cross-functional teamsOther duties as assigned.Qualifications and Education RequirementsBachelor's degree required: Marketing, Journalism or Communications concentration preferredMinimum 5+ years' experience in communications, marketing, and public relations required, financial services industry preferred.Exceptional long and short-form copy writing and editing skillsExperience with press releases, media relations, video scripts and print.Demonstrates ability to work both collaboratively and independentlyDemonstrates ability to take direction and receive constructive feedbackSense of urgency and responsiveness with the ability to manage multiple task assignments simultaneously and work effectively in a fast-paced environmentStrategic thinker, solution-minded; proactive approach with ideasStrong interpersonal relationship skillsDetail-oriented and organizedStrong knowledge of Microsoft suite; including PowerPointProficiency with Microsoft SharePoint preferred.Familiarity with Graphic Design and Adobe Creative Cloud a plus, including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.BCU Shared Values.
