At AAM Bluffton Manufacturing Facility, Human Resources (HR) is focused on understanding what people need and knowing how to provide it to ensure a Safe, High Quality environment. We're in search of a qualified and resourceful HR Manager to be the link ensuring smooth and efficient business operations.The right person brings significant HR knowledge and will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities, helping us to plan and administer important functions, such as staffing, training and development, compensation, and benefits. Job Description
-Collaborate to assess employment needs, and participate in recruiting efforts to identify, interview, hire and train qualified candidates.
-Assess employee performance and issue evaluations to help individuals identify strengths and weaknesses and to help maintain a team of motivated and efficient workers.
-Provide personnel policy and procedure guidance to employees and management.
-Participate in development of HR objectives and systems, including metrics, queries, and standard reports for ongoing company requirements.
-Consult with colleagues to incentivize, encourage and support employees; through administration of benefits, compensation, and employee performance programs.
-Suggest new procedures and policies to continually improve efficiency of the HR department and plant to improve employee experience.
-Ensure legal compliance of HR state and federal regulations and applicable employment laws, and update policies and/or procedures as required.
-Educate and train all employees on organizational behaviors, policies and procedures to guarantee that understanding is affirmed, and resources are not underutilized.
-Monitor employee morale and company culture.

Required Skills and Education
-Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or a related field
-Minimum 5 years proven HR experience.
-Natural communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness
-Problem-solving aptitude and Strong detail-oriented and resourceful mindset
-Demonstrated knowledge of HR procedures, policies, Laws, and regulations.
-Advanced knowledge of MS Office, HRIS systems, and comfortable learning new technical systems as needed
-Confident presentation skills
-Ability to maintain confidentiality
Preferred Qualifications
-3+ years in a management or leadership position
-PHR or SPHR certification
-Training and Development experience a plus
