Job description

Robert Half Healthcare Practice has partnered with a well-known healthcare company in Indiana to secure a full-time Remote HR Coordinator. We are thrilled to partner with this established firm to secure their newest staff member!

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am--5pm.

Main Duties:
Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Answers frequently asked questions from employees relative to standard policies, benefits, etc; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR management.
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Performs periodic audits of HR files, and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
Assist with payroll functions including processing, answering employee questions, fixing processing errors, and distributing checks and W-2s.
Acts as liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and retirement plan providers.
Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition vents, holiday parties.
Maintain complete and confidential files on each employee.
Process, verify and maintain documentation relating to personnel activities such as staffing, recruitment, training, performance evaluations and classifications.
Prepares purchase orders for HR department.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Eagerness to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and take initiative on variety of tasks and projects
  • Capability to interact with all levels of staff in a rapidly quickly changing environment while maintaining an approachable and appropriate demeanor
  • Comprehensive knowledge of I-9 Compliance
  • I-9 Audits experience
  • Employee relations experience preferred
  • Strong familiarity with Background Checks
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Conducts new-Employee Orientations
  • Human Resources (HR) Administration experience
  • General familiarity with HRIS
  • Adeptness in new employee orientation
  • Knowledge in office applications and software, as well as Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)
  • Experience handling confidential business matters and information with discretion
  • Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills highly desired
