Job description

The ideal candidate is a motivated, organized, and creative individual who welcomes the challenges of acquiring and developing new business through sales efforts. You will build key customer relationships, identify business opportunities, and close business deals while maintaining extensive knowledge of current market conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate strong business relationships with key decision-makers such as Admission Directors, VP of Enrollment, and other Higher Education professionals
  • Proactively identify new opportunities and deliver innovative solutions to clients
  • Develop market strategies by researching lists of high potential prospects
  • Prospect clients by networking, cold calling, appointments, advertising, or other means of generating interest from potential clients in the Higher Education market.
  • Research and build relationships with prospective clients by traveling on-site and attending professional trade conferences
  • Leverage social media tools such as LinkedIn to connect with potential clients
  • Articulate and demonstrate the company's offering for clients either in-person or in a virtual environment (Zoom/Google Meets)
  • Prepare proposals with the assistance of the leadership team
  • Focus on bringing in new opportunities and supporting the Operations Team
  • Other responsibilities as they arise to meet the needs of a Business Development role



Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business
  • 3+ years in Business Development or other related Sales and/or Marketing experience
  • Experience selling Software, Consulting Services, and/or Enrollment Solutions
  • Experience using a CRM
  • Good Verbal & Written Communication Skills
  • Proposal Development
  • Travel up to 50% of the time
  • 5+ years in Higher Education business roles such as marketing or admissions (preferred)
  • Self Starter / Self Motivator
