Position Overview
dormakaba is seeking a Credit & Collection Supervisor to join the Credit Team at our Indianapolis, IN corporate office. This position will be responsible for managing the activities of the credit and collections function for the business and supervising the work of the Credit Analysts. Additionally, the position is responsible for ensuring the proper application of internal controls .
Primary Duties
- Maintains adherence to company accounting policy and procedures
- Develops policies, systems, procedures, and training materials for performing standard and non-standard credit and collections activities
- Provides technical direction and overall coordination for credit analysts including problem resolution, customer resolution, and target measurements
- Provides regular and ad hoc reporting as requested by management
- Monitors Credit Analyst portfolios to ensure we are meeting company expectations
- Responsible for performance management, development, hiring, and workload management for direct reports
- Supervises staff and provides appropriate direction and guidance consistently
- Trains new hires as needed and keeps team apprised to new corporate polices and procedures
- Maintains confidential information gathered through course of business
- Advises management on matters of fiscal procedure and importance for the company
- Assists in special projects as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related discipline preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Accounts Receivable / Credit / Collections
- 1-2 years of experience in supervision preferred
- Experience in a fast-paced, complex, and collaborative environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Outlook
- Experience with SAP
- Knowledge and experience with Accounts Payable processes
- Ability to reconcile financial accounts
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
- Ability to engage in a variety of tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, complex environment
- Ability to communicate with all levels and departments and work collaboratively as part of a team
