As the full time, exempt staffing Director of Pharmacy with CPS® at NeuroPsychiatric Hospital of Indianapolis, you will oversee all pharmacy operations, including planning, organizing, and controlling activities according to hospital policies, standards of practice of the profession, and state and federal laws. You will fill orders with accuracy and maintain security of the pharmacy and controlled substances. You will recommend innovations in the practice and function of the pharmacy to hospital administration and carry out mutually agreed upon programs with assistance from a full support team at CPS®, including experts in pharmacy operations, clinical administration, and regulatory compliance.
Schedule: This position will work Monday through Friday from 8:00am - 4:00pm, with on-call and occasional weekend hours as needed.
About the Facility: NeuroPsychatric Hospital of Indianapolis is a 50-bed, Joint Commission accredited hospital that provides inpatient behavioral and mental health services for adult and geriatric patients. CPS® has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of the pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS®.
About the Pharmacy: The pharmacy is open Monday-Friday from 8:00am-4:00pm, with weekend and after-hours remote order entry provided by a telepharmacy service. The pharmacy utilizes automated dispensing machines and an electronic pharmacy information system in the provision of services.
Required Qualifications:
* Pharmacy Degree - Bachelor's or PharmD from an accredited School of Pharmacy
* Indiana Pharmacist license that is currently active and in good standing
* At least 1 year of recent pharmacy management/supervisory experience
* At least 2 years of recent hospital pharmacist experience preferred
* Effective verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to solve problems, establish trust and credibility.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, respond to client concerns and work cooperatively with other members of the hospital and pharmacy staff.
