Job description

Human Resources Assistant- $1,000 Signing Bonus offer

Description: This position provides administrative support to the Human Resources Department on all personnel matters as directed.

Duties:

• Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions

• Assists with the recruiting, tracking and interviewing of prospective candidates through Company talent management platform

• Assists with entering new hires and terminations into appropriate software system

• Assists with scheduling meetings and interviews as requested by the HR Manager.

• Performs phone interviews for open positions as necessary

• Prepares and sends email and follow up letters throughout the process.

• Prepares new employee files.

• Maintains records of personnel related data in paper and data base files to ensure all employment requirements are met.

• Assists with managing overall Human Resources compliance with state and federal requirements as assigned

• Assists with processes the Verification of I-9 documentation and maintains data base.

• Assists with assuring that Benefit enrollment is forwarded to all new employees

• Assists with Online background investigations.

• Assists with the follow up with results from Pre-Employment results

• Assists with conducting New Employee orientation and onboarding as assigned

• Assists with processing on-line Worker's Compensation claims and makes file

• Assists with Handbook updates and distribution

• Assists with Attendance tracking and notifications

• Files papers and documents into the appropriate employee files.

• Makes photocopies, faxes documents and performs other clerical duties

• Maintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping HR information confidential and within the department.

• Contributes to the team by helping out with big projects as needed.

• Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

• High school degree or equivalent

• 1-2 years experience in the HR field

• Knowledge of Human Resources processes and best practices

• Ability to work as a team

• Well organized with good time management

• Ability to keep data confidential

• Computer knowledge with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel

• Effective oral and written communication skills
