The PCCU / cardiac care operations at St. Vincent is recognized as one of the top hospitals (6th leading operation in the country) in overall cardiac services. Working in this unit will allow you to hone your Nursing skills, provide for continuing education (get your RN, AHFC, ACLS, etc.), while giving your patients more knowledge about their illness, constructive ways to live their lives as they continue to recover and return home.

+ Pacemaker/Defibrillator placement
+ STEMI
+ Post Cath
+ Heart Arrhythmias
+ Pre Surgical (VAD, transplant, CABG, etc.)
+ Pre-Open Heart
+ Cardiac Transplant
+ CHF (Heart Failure)
+ Myocardial Infarction (MI)
+ Chest Pain

LPN / LVN Clinical professional - PCCU - Full-Time, Rotating (Days or Nights) - 3 12/hour shifts (flexible schedule to some extent), coverage one weekend a month - St. Vincent Indianapolis Hospital - 86th Street - Indianapolis, IN.
What You Will Do
Provide care to patients under the direction of a registered nurse or physician, functioning within scope of license.
Responsibilities:
+ Contribute to the assessment of patients and assure the well-being of patients.
+ Administer medications and observe patients for adverse reactions to medications or treatments.
+ Perform laboratory tests and therapeutic services.
+ Educate patients/families about disease treatment plan including self care post discharge, holistic health needs, available resources and follow up care.
What You Will Need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
+ BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
+ Practical/Vocational Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Education:
+ High school diploma or GED required.
