Job description

5 Talis Group's client is a leading manufacturer of automotive components with decades of experience creating a culture of excellence. Company is hiring a Human Resources Generalist as the righthand person to the HR Manager in all areas of HR at their Southern Indiana plant. Position will work with the management team and employees as the point of contact on recruiting, performance, training, benefits, employee relations and engagement. This non-union facility enjoys an employee-friendly environment, along with excellent benefits and salary ($60k - $65k) including profit sharing.



Job Requirements:

Highlighted Duties:

  • First point of HR contact to managers and employees at the facility
  • Partner with managers on hourly recruiting and on-boarding new hires
  • Benefit administration includes leaves of absences, open enrollment and troubleshooting issues
  • Employee relations assistance includes training/development, investigations and discipline
  • Administer attendance program
  • HR key performance data analysis and reporting
  • Ensure all company policies and procedures as well as local, state and federal laws and regulations are followed
  • Facilitate Wellness Program for a safe and healthy work environment
  • HR administrative duties include maintaining employee files and HR information in HRIS
  • Maintain a positive organizational culture in line with the company's values and business priorities

Highlighted Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field and HR certification preferred
  • 2+ years of broad based and progressive HR experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience recruiting and onboarding new hires
  • Current knowledge of relevant state and federal employment laws and regulations
  • Ability to develop and maintain a positive culture for employees
  • Excellent written, oral, listening, presentation, influence, and interpersonal skills
  • Must have exceptional time management, problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills including Excel
  • Motivated; self-directed individual
