As the Development Manager for Southern Indiana, you will provide development leadership for The Center for Women and Families programs in Floyd and Clark counties in Indiana. You will develop a strategy for growing resources and developing a major gifts pipeline in Southern Indiana. Your public speaking experience and interpersonal skills will serve you well in cultivating and soliciting donors to deepen The Centers relationship with them and to broaden its base of support.

The Center for Women and Families is a non-profit agency serving people of all genders and sexual orientation who have experienced domestic or sexual violence. We are committed to providing supportive services that foster hope, promote self-sufficiency, and rebuild lives. In your role, you will work through a diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) lens and can expect your responsibilities to include:

  • Working with the Vice President of Development and Communications to develop a strategy to meet short-term and long-term financial goals and to collaboratively achieve the fundraising goals of The Center.
  • Working with volunteer leadership to develop the vision and goals of the Southern Indiana Partnership Council.
  • Overseeing and growing the annual campaign, including seasonal direct mail appeals, renewals, and other internal fundraising initiatives, alongside the Louisville Development Manager.
  • Supporting the Vice President and the President/CEO in implementing relationship-specific strategies for individuals, corporations, and private foundations.
  • Collaboratively manage logistics for special events.
  • Managing information systems for development, including updating and maintaining accurate Raisers Edge records and running weekly and monthly reports to show progress toward fundraising goals for The Centers leadership and board.
  • Collaborating with the Communications Director to create content for appeals, annual reports, and community engagement publications.

To be a successful candidate, you will have a minimum of two years experience working in non-profit development and fundraising, preferably in the Southern Indiana community.

Your compensation for your role as the Development Manager for Southern Indiana will be $40,000-$45,000 depending on experience. Your benefits will include access to health insurance, dental and vision insurance, life and disability insurance, accident and critical illness insurance, health savings and flexible savings accounts. Additionally, you will receive a generous paid time off (PTO) bank and will be eligible to contribute to a 401(k) plan with agency match after 1 year.

It is our policy to provide full and equal employment opportunities to all employees and potential employees without regard to race, color, religion, national or ethnic origin, veteran status, age, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, genetic information, physical or mental disability, or any other legally protected status.
