The Quality Management Systems Business Analyst role is focused on the implementation and enhancements of Collins Aerospace SAP ECC Quality Management systems. The ideal candidate will have detailed knowledge of quality specific processes such as First Article Inspection, Non-Conformances, Corrective Actions, and Audit management.

This individual can be remote but must be willing and able to travel as necessary.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Understand complex requirements and formulate solutions in SAP QM to support business needs
  • Analyze business processes and develop and implement improvements to streamline, simplify and optimize SAP QM solutions
  • Perform SAP configuration (customizing) work as needed to support new and existing functionality
  • Prepare functional specifications and collaborate with ABAP developers to develop and test new functionality and enhancements
  • Implement global SAP QM processes, and migrate data from existing systems for new business units
  • Organize and track the progress of SAP implementations and application changes by applying project management techniques; Identify issues that will delay on-time solution delivery and assists in resolving them
  • Develop test cases, perform unit testing, and assist customer with user acceptance testing
  • Update design, configuration, and specification documentation
  • Execute data conversions and provides data validation assistance to customer
  • This position will be working with confidential information and candidate must follow policies relating to confidential information handling
  • Capability to analyze business processes, functional and technical requirements
  • Effectively communicate with good interpersonal skills
  • Work independently with high initiative
  • Possess strong problem solving and analysis skills
  • Strong understanding of high-level business processes
  • Managing multiple concurrent activities


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR
  • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years' experience OR
  • In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
  • Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Bachelor's degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Experience in SAP ECC QM (Quality Management) is required


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Cross functional experience with SAP QM modules, (MM/PP) production planning/execution and (MD) Master Data preferred
  • Integration experience, especially with Solumina
  • ETQ Reliance, NetInspect, Discus, and/or Iqvia-Pilgrim, and experience moving applications to Microsoft Azure
