Job description

Serves as a subject matter expert within the Individual Solutions (IS) Finance Distribution Support Team performing financial reporting and analysis functions. Applies business and financial knowledge as well as judgment to activities that are diverse and complex to support Distribution Management and Team in growing the business. Primary focus is on Sales Reporting as well as the related business drivers; however, individual also aids with a variety of other financial topics.

Responsibilities:

* Responsible for IS Sales reporting, analysis, forecasting and budgeting. Reviews and interprets activity for the purpose of determining past performance and/or to project future results; shares information with organization to aid in strategic planning.

* Extracts financial data from various accounting and information systems to perform appropriate reporting and analyses

* Determines appropriate methodology to prepare information for use by others.

* Works closely with IS Distribution Management in interpreting results and assumes projects across the IS Finance group as assigned.

* Analyze business metrics and trends to better understand the economics of Individual Solutions (IS) Distribution channels; to drive sound decision making and effective distribution.

* Desire to understand business over and above specific duties and provide a high level of financial analysis understanding to aid in solving problems in unique ways.

* Exhibits a thorough understanding of business and analysis concepts.

* Participate in monthly reporting processes to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.

* Recommends changes to processes to improve and achieve greater efficiencies.

* Utilizes a thorough understanding of the business to proactively develop financial reports and complex models for forecasting, trending and results analysis.

* Works effectively with other departments/divisions to ensure business issues are resolved for the success of the company. Keeps an open mind considering opinions and priorities of colleagues.

* Solves problems in creative ways; initiative and independent judgment required; makes varied decisions; Operates with substantial latitude for un-reviewed action or decision; May plan, conduct and supervise assignments, reviews progress and evaluates results.

* Responsible for adherence to the company's framework of internal controls.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and/or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 8 years' experience, with degree.

* Desire to win, self-improvement, accountability, self-starter, integrity with actions.

* Advanced computer skills; strong Tableau and/or Power BI a plus.

* Ability to dive into unknown areas, learning quickly and independently.

* Presentation level written & verbal communication skills; comfortable in interacting with all levels of organization.

* Proactive, intellectually curious, seek solutions and constructively challenge.

* Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.

* Ability to handle multiple projects, willingness to take on new projects, customer service approach, highly analytical.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Solid knowledge of Individual Solution's products & Distribution (for example, investments, insurance products).

* Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing, ability to handle multiple projects, willingness to take on new projects, customer service approach, highly analytical.

* Work effectively individually and within a team, organizational and prioritization skills, effective judgment ; address employee issues on a timely basis.

Please note that the compensation information that follows is a good faith estimate for this position only and is provided pursuant to the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and Equal Pay Transparency Rules. It is estimated based on what a successful Colorado applicant might be paid. It assumes that the successful candidate will be in Colorado or perform the position from Colorado. Similar positions located outside of Colorado will not necessarily receive the same compensation.

Compensation:

The salary rate for this position generally ranges between $80,000- $132,000. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs and other considerations permitted by law. The range may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Rule 4.1.2.

Bonus Eligibility:

This position is also typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at Company Discretion at a rate of 12.5%.

Working Conditions:

* Hybrid employees will need to work at a Company office location at times and a remote work location (typically their home) at times.

* Occasional travel.
