This position may be located in Cedar Rapids, IA or one of our wind farms in Iowa and the job features a combination of office based work, wind farm and power plant work.This role can be filled at a higher level.

Job Qualifications
Experience and Education Requirements:
- This position requires a four year degree from an accredited college or university, within an engineering program that is accredited through the Engineering Accreditation Commission.
- 5 years of related experience
- Project management experience, along with ability to deal with subcontractors and multi-functional teams
- Experience with wind turbine blades as it relates to manufacturing/construction methods, repairs, and performance.
- Organizes and interprets blade information to develop an annual blade program
- Experience with Maximo or maintenance software
- Responsible for the preparation of bid documents and scope of work for blade repairs
- Experience with: wind sensors and control systems, low speed rotating machinery,wind generator and gear box cooling systems,lubrication and oil analysis andvibration analysis
- Experience of implementing and performing monitoring based activities to increase capacity, efficiency and optimize asset life of the turbines.
- Strong project management skills related to budget development, economic evaluations, development of equipment / construction specifications, construction management, system start-up / commissioning, schedule development / management.
- Solid understanding of electric and steam generation industry, power plant operations and mechanical power systems such as pumps, piping, fans, heat exchangers, draft systems, material handling, etc.
- Welding, weld procedures, welding inspection and code requirements for power piping
- Knowledge of environmental and regulatory issues related to the electric and steam generation industry
- Knowledge of environmental control systems (SCR, Scrubbers, Baghouses) and their operation.
- Knowledge of the codes and standards that apply to the wind, electric, and steam generation industry as well as mechanical and safety codes and standards.
- Execution of multiple projects at the same time.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to use computer software programs (e.g., e-mail, word processing, spreadsheet, and project management).
