Adjunct Dental Assistant

This position will be responsible for delivering all levels of the Dental Assistant program classes. Must be willing to teach a variety of methodologies. This instructor will also be responsible for course instruction and classroom management. Duties include, but are not limited to, teaching classroom/ laboratory/ clinical sessions, assessment of student learning, responsibility for materials and supplies. Assignments may also include teaching at multiple sites during the course of a semester, as clinical experiences may be held at a variety of dental care facilities.

Current Registered Dental Assistant, Current Dental Assisting National Board Certified ( DANB ), and Bachelor's degree in any field required.

Ability to occasionally lift 10 pounds, ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time, use hands to operate computer keyboard, telephone, and other basic office equipment, and ability to work with diverse populations and ability to operate a motor vehicle. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, and use a phone. Some travel, by vehicle, may be required. Reading, writing, calculating, social interaction skills, reasoning/analysis, and ability to work with minimal supervision, high degree of problem-solving and high level of inter-personal skills is preferred. Hiring process includes ability to pass a background check, a valid driver's license, and a good driving record.
