CDL Instructor

Train students to competently and safely operate a full-size tractor-trailer in various road and

environmental situations. Ensure the safety of students at all times Represent Iowa Western Community College in a positive, professional, respectful manner. Keep current with transportation knowledge and skills according to industry standards and trends.

High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 3 years full time recent and relevant over the road or local driving experience.
Good driving record.

Hold current class A CDL license.
Ability to pass a background check and MVR .

Include occasional lifting up to 20 pounds, the ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time, kneeling, stooping, and bending, use hands to operate a computer keyboard, telephone, and other basic office equipment, ability to work with diverse populations, and work is performed in an office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear and use a phone. Reading, writing, calculating, and working with minimal supervision, a high degree of problem-solving, organizational skills, and high degree of inter-personal skills.
