Internal Audit is a provider of independent, objective assurance services delivered through a highly competent and diverse team. As a business partner, Audit helps the company accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes.

Our Strategy and Operations Groups (SAOG) within our IA department is seeking an Audit Manager to join the Methodology team within the Practices group. The Methodology team supports the department in the ongoing management of the internal audit methodology, policies, procedures, tools, and templates used by audit teams to perform audits and related activities. The team acts as subject matter experts on audit methodology, and coordinates across internal and external teams to implement changes in audit requirements. The team also addresses questions, requiring significant collaboration with audit teams in the execution of audits and in monitoring of policy implementation. The role requires a sense of urgency, passion for excellence and results, and personal accountability for achievement and outcomes.

Additional responsibilities:

  • Communicating effectively (verbal and written) with internal and external partners understanding and applying appropriate level of detail in communication dependent upon audience
  • Developing strong working relationships both within SAOG and with our audit team partners
  • Executing and supervising multiple projects and initiatives concurrently
  • Being flexible to add projects or shift priorities readily and efficiently
  • Leading and enthusiastically sharing the benefits of change initiatives
  • Understanding Audit tools and methodology thoroughly
  • Understanding, interpreting, and presenting information in a well-organized and clear manner providing level of detail appropriate for a variety of stakeholders
  • Ensuring the team delivers quality work on projects, on time
  • Seek continuous quality improvement and efficiency opportunities within the portfolio.

Salary range is determined by the location of the job.

  • Area 2: $98,000 Mid: $140,000 Max: $182,000

May be considered for a discretionary bonus, Restricted Share Rights or other long-term incentive awards



Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: audit, control testing, control and risk identification, or audit analysis demonstrated through work or military experience



Desired Qualifications

  • Experience at a financial institution or accounting firm
  • A BS/BA degree or higher
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of audit or risk methodologies and supporting tools
  • Understanding of financial regulatory environment
  • Certification in one or more of the following: CPA, CAMS, CRCM, CIA, CISA or Commissioned Bank Examiner designation
  • Good analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Knowledge and understanding of audit methodologies and tools that support audit processes
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Solid problem solving skills
  • Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities

  • Audit methodology practices experience
  • Audit policy development experience

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.
