Job Description
Financial Systems Administrator responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Collaboration between the IT and Finance departments as well as third parties to complete both daily responsibilities and project related work
- Maintain daily financial systems and implement system changes
- Serve as a department contact for system issues and questions
- Troubleshoot systems issues as necessary and escalate items appropriately
- Coordinate, test, assess, and assist in the deployment of new functions and features
- Assist and support the Finance team with monthly close processes/procedures; prioritize requests that support the reconciliation, facilitate ad hoc reports, etc.
- Identify and provide new technologies and enhancements that streamline processes and promote process efficiencies
- Develop and maintain user procedure documentation
- Prioritize, coordinate, and organize work to meet deadlines
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
The ideal candidate would possess:
- Progressive experience in Financial systems (GL, AP, AR, Credit, Cash Management, Credit Card Processing, Treasury, etc)
- Experience specifically with Great Plains and/or SharePoint
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong computer skills, including the use of accounting and management systems, Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel)
- Ability to adapt to changing business needs and requirements
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving both user and system related issues
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Accounting/Business, or related and at least 3 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous administrator experience of Great Plains software preferred
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
