We are searching for a Business Process Specialist who can be based in our Urbandale, IA, or other East/Central Regions.

What can you expect?
- Translates business strategies and objectives into business requirements.
- Creates process maps and collaborates with business SME to review processes and identify streamline opportunities.
- Identifies, verifies and documents functional and operational requirements using requirements management methodology and tools.
- Test and analyze final requirements.
- Ensures requirements are communicated effectively to parties responsible for technical development and implementation.
- Manage data and reporting requests.
- Helps to develop and deliver training and supplemental materials.

We will count on you to:
- Serve as the source of knowledge concerning business processes, best practices and documentation standards.
- Lead workshops to identify problems, understand impact and help design solutions.
- Build and articulate frameworks and methodologies that can also be self-administered by local teams.
- Partner with local teams to understand nuances and enable adoption of global solutions.
- Drive standardization of processes.
- Take accountability for designing solutions and obtaining buy-in.
- Build strong working relationships and support design of the business function
- Help communicate best practices and changes to stakeholders at middle management level
- Work with IT project teams to ensure business requirements are understood and to also help facilitate things like user acceptance testing, ensuring all scenarios are considered that relate back to the business and functional requirements
What you need to have:
- Knowledge working with database structures and query techniques
- Specific skills in using Microsoft Excel, Access, Qlick and SQL is preferred
- Prior work experience in the insurance industry preferred
- An enthusiastic team player, you are self-motivated and enjoy working in a self-directed manner
