Purpose:

Athene is searching for a motivated internal Auditor, with a passion for learning new skills, to join our team of Game Changers. If you have audit experience and are looking to broaden your skills and knowledge across various business functions, this Auditor position may be for you!

As an internal Auditor at Athene, you will provide independent and objective evaluations of company financial and operational business activities. This role will work to identify potential gaps in processes and will partner with business leaders to develop and implement strategies to ensure the business functions efficiently.

The incumbent will also provide independent audit assurance through delivery of assigned audits including operational, SOX, financial, compliance and risk. The internal Auditor will also analyze processes and potentially technology systems to ensure the adequacy, effectiveness and sustainability of the risk, control and governance frameworks.

Accountabilities:

* Assists in the development of appropriate audit and SOX work programs and execution of those work programs.

* Produces high quality working papers and audit files to support the findings of assigned SOX and operational audits.

* Applies audit methodology and standards to all audits.

* Participates in US and international reviews as required.

* Produces timely high quality audit issues, findings and reports.

* Works with management within Business Unit being audited in regards to the planning and delivery of the specific assignments.

* Assists in the delivery of audit findings to all levels of management.

Qualifications and Experience:

* Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.

* 2+ years of audit experience required, preferably with audit experience in life insurance/financial services industry.

* Professional certification (EG: CPA, CIA, or CISA) preferred.

* Effective communication skills.

* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

* Self-motivated to learn and take on challenges.

* Willing to consider candidates at an Auditor or Sr Auditor level dependent up qualifications and experience.
