Finance brings together enterprise functions that drive Wells Fargo's financial management, including accounting and control, financial planning and analysis, line of business finance, asset-liability management, treasury, tax management, and the company's investment portfolios. They also inform shareholders, regulators, taxing authorities, employees, and leaders of the company's financial performance through earnings releases, investor meetings and conferences, and meetings with regulators and credit rating agencies, following appropriate reporting guidelines.

Consultant to Business Line and enterprise functions on matters related to financial analysis and reporting, forecasting analysis of key financial metrics, as well as other financial consulting related to business performance, operating and strategic reviews. Responsible for providing moderate to complex financial analysis in support of management decision-making for a business unit or enterprise functions. Responsible for creation, analysis and communication of various activities such as key metrics forecasting, closing analysis and validation, and project analysis, etc. Supports all aspects of delivering key forecasting projections as well as management financial reporting (both standard and adhoc) to support monthly and quarterly forecasting, balance sheet analysis as well as stress testing and resolution planning scenarios for all business units and enterprise functional areas. Establishes and maintains effective & efficient reporting delivery that meets brand standards and internal control standards. Supports implementation of moderate to complex projects/initiatives. Understands compliance and risk management requirements for supported area.



Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: finance, accounting, analytics and reporting; or a BS/BA degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Business and 2+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: finance, accounting, analytics or reporting

  • A BS/BA degree or higher in one or a combination of the following: Finance, Accounting, Analytics, or Reporting
  • Ability to successfully operate in a complex and matrixed environment
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision in a structured environment
  • Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strong critical thinking skills combined with strategic business focus
  • Self-starter that demonstrates adaptability and flexibility to work in an ambiguous environment
  • Ability to challenge status quo and identify opportunities to re-engineer/streamline processes
  • Experience with multi-dimensional databases (Hyperion Essbase, Cognos TM1, etc)
  • Advanced degree or certification MBA, Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Corporate Planning & Analysis Professional (FPAC), etc.
