Responsibilities

Peraton's Talent Acquisition team is seeking a Recruiter/Talent Advisor in Topeka, Kansas. This role will manage the

full-life cycle of recruiting from candidate generation through offer with a focus on sourcing and hiring Talent in the local area for a large Program as well as a variety of Programs CONUS/OCONUS.

* Responsible for sourcing, recruiting, and screening applicants for a variety of technical positions, including software engineers, system administrators, computer programmers, database administrators, assembly screening technicians, parts issue supply clerks, and other various skill sets.
* Source, interview, and select applicants for technical/contract required positions.
* Interviews applicants; recommends employment; plans advertising and marketing for social media, university/college job boards and local resources; plans manpower requirements; provides employment/security information to applicants; arranges internal transfers.
* Sources and prescreens candidates, participates in interviews, assists managers with reference checks, develops competitive job offers and tracks candidates in the applicant tracking system (Workday Recruiter / iCIMS).
* Conducts interviews to recruit prospective employees and refers job applicants to specific job openings.
* Evaluates employment factors such as job experience, education and training, skills, knowledge and abilities, and other data pertinent to classification, selection, and referral.
* Surfaces candidates and develops networks to ensure constant flow of qualified candidates using web-based tools, agencies and recruiting contractors.
* Prepares applicant assessment, provides applicants with information on the company and ensures successful hiring and on-boarding process.
* Recommend salary and negotiate starting salary with management and candidate, administer tests and interpret results, and arranges transportation of selected applicants.
* Collaborates with hiring managers to create and review employment requisitions and develop staffing plans.
* Communicates with hiring manager on the status of requisitions, candidate quality and candidate pipeline.
* Maintains contact with hard to find skilled candidates using various communication techniques to keep the candidates interested in the Company.
* Creates and fosters relationships with colleagues and diverse professional organizations to attract and recruit critical skilled candidates, alumni and diversity applicants.
* Will participate and represent Peraton at local hiring events, both in person and virtual.
* Ability to work on-site 3 days a week (may change depending on event schedule).
* Knowledge and understanding of Union positions is a plus.
* Ability to work independently.

Qualifications

Requires 5 to 8 years with BS/BA or 3 to 5 years with MS/MA or 0 to 2 years with PhD or

or HS diploma with 11+ years of experience in lieu of BS.
