Bach Homes is looking for a qualified candidate to join the Team in our Multi-Family Division. This Construction Superintendent position is for an apartment development located in Olathe, KS. Experience with Multi-Family development required.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Extensive knowledge of the trades required for wood framed construction.

• Orders materials and schedules inspections as necessary throughout the project.
• The ability to comprehensively read and understand Plans, Shop drawings, and Submittals.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
• Maintains construction schedule with the ability to identify and solve issues.
• OSHA 30, CPR and First Aid Certifications preferred.
• Experience with basic MS Windows software (Excel, Projects, Word)
• Maintains positive relationships with contractors, suppliers, and other employees.
• Enforces and monitors site safety protocol and rectifies job site hazards immediately.
• Travel required as needed.
• Daily management of on-site staff and laborers.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), and/or related software.
• Ability to read construction drawings and understand industry scopes of work.

Education and Experience:

• At least 4 years of construction experience required. Preferably with multi-family construction.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to traverse and inspect all areas of jobsite in all types of weather (this may include walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching).
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
• Exposure to typical construction site dangers.

Qualifications

Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a superintendent to be considered for this position. Alternatively a bachelor's degree and 2 years as a superintendent will also be considered. Computer Skills - Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and E-mail. Experience with Builder Trend PM Software is a plus.

Working Conditions

• Work five (5) days during the week.
• Physical ability to inspect houses and site during all phases of construction, which may involve climbing stairs or ladders.
• Physical ability to tolerate inclement weather and adverse site conditions.
• Tolerance for stress due to tight deadlines and short notice on changes.
• Participate in regular production meetings and onsite Team Meetings.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
