TT Electronics' Olathe, Kansas facility, is an industry-leading designer and manufacturer of custom magnetic products and assemblies. The Olathe-based site has 65 years' experience in the design and development of unique harsh-environment solutions for mission-critical applications.

Role Overview and Responsibilities:
Position Summary:

This role is responsible for complex state-of-the-art design aspects of military and commercial high density (AC-DC and DC-DC) power supplies and power systems related hardware. Must be capable of creating innovative designs for exciting new programs with demanding requirements. Will participate in activities such as: writing of proposals, design reviews (internal & external), interfaces with customers and mentors junior engineers.

Must be able to communicate with customers regarding specifications for new products, as well as TT's design and manufacturing teams to support all electrical design related activities.

Position Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

Responsible for the design of complex state-of-the-art AC-DC and DC-DC power supply topologies

Evaluates technical aspects of customer specifications and statements of work

Assists Business Development in generating budgetary estimates for new proposals

Writes technical proposals and provides guidance to others in proposal preparation

Meets with current and prospective customers to maintain strong customer relationships, provide technical support and develop new business.

Participates in the critical design reviews (PDR's, CRD's, TRR's, etc). for all electronic products.

Mentors junior design engineer to transfer design skills

Responsible for generating and updating White Papers

Prepares and present technical presentation at conferes as needed

Stays abreasts of developments in the filed

Performs other related duties as required.

This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes:
15 years in progressively increasing responsible experience in the state-of-the-art power supply topology Design and development

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or other related field required, MS in Electrical Engineering preferred

Must be proficient in engineering design software tools like PSpice, Matlab/Simulink etc.

Power supply design experienced with high frequency (HF) magnetics

Previous experience with military high reliability programs and working with Military Standards is desirable.

Ability to interface well with customers and all levels within the organization.

Proven track record of moving to action and ability to meet commitments.

Proven experience to bring innovation to designs in challenging environments
