Position Description
Lindsay Corporation is hiring a QA Engineer II within its overall software organization, reporting to the Manager, DevOps. This important role will be responsible for designing, creating, implementing, and delivering automated software testing solutions for Lindsayâs various product lines, including new products and features, in order to ensure quality for our customers and various stakeholders. Additionally, this role will also be responsible for adherence to the various quality assurance and control mechanisms and policies set forth by the organization, as well as the various software industry testing standards.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop test plans, test scenarios, test cases, test data and test scripts for different types of testing activities
- Performs the execution of test cases/scripts, captures the test results/metrics, and builds reports from the executed tests
- Identifies and tracks system defects, performs root cause analysis of the defects and works with the development team to resolve the defects
- Works with the software organization leads to establish Quality Assurance standards and best practices, adhering to ISO and other widely accepted software testing standards
- Analyzes business requirements and design documents for completeness and testability
- Performs and coordinates system verification and validation test activities utilizing automated testing tools and concepts
- Performs Quality Assurance testing activities to ensure the applications, products, and/or releases are in compliance with the Quality Assurance standards of the organization
Preferred Qualifications
- College diploma or degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, IT or equivalent technical education or equivalent experience.
- 3-6 years of relevant technical experience in creating and executing automated tests for both web and mobile applications (iOS/Android)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where constant iteration, improvement, and innovation is key to the success of the team
- Robust problem-solving skills, the ability to learn from doing, personal accountability, and a positive and professional attitude
- Ability to clearly and rapidly communicate problems and solutions in order to prevent bottlenecks and facilitate the release process
- Demonstrated proficiency and experience with five or more of the following as it relates to the testing of client/server and UI / Web based applications: Functional testing, User Acceptance testing, Integration testing, System testing, Sanity testing, Backend testing, Compatibility/Usability testing
- Demonstrated proficiency, experience, and ability to mentor others with browser UI/API test automation tools ( DataDog, TestRail, Visual Studio, Selenium - Ruby, Postman, k6, etc.)
- Solid understanding of the following: Web APIs, IoT device communication and protocols, Agile Scrum/QA concepts, Git Flow
