NIC Division of Tyler Technologies is seeking a Business Analyst with technical analysis capabilities to join our Research & Development team.

As a product development team member, you will contribute to the software development process by ensuring complete and accurate requirements and product documentation.

Responsibilities

• Partners with the product & engineering teams to maintain and continually improve the systems.
• Organize, translate, simplify, verify, manage, and communicate requirements (business, functional & system) and non-functional specifications
• Collaborates with stakeholders and product teams to decompose large epic stories into features and user stories that can be understood and approved by the development team
• Constructs use cases and scenarios with acceptance criteria for the requirements.
• Prepares process maps, data flow diagrams & wireframes
• Works with the team throughout the product development, testing, implementation phases to ensure efficient solutions are developed
• Assists in backlog prioritization, feature sequencing, and organization
• Identify, log, and track defects discovered during testing
• Prepares test cases and perform user acceptance testing of applications, services, APIs and ensure the solution is proven to deliver the required business results
• Writes easy-to-understand user and developer guides that will facilitate end-user practical application
• Works closely with software developers to capture new feature documentation
• Prepares software release notes and updates product user manuals and tutorials accordingly
• Assists in preparing Product materials for training
• Develop, monitor, and track plans to create the BA deliverables on an assigned project
• Communicate effectively on the impact of projects, changes to current systems, specifications, and project schedules
• Assist in keeping releases within scope, on schedule, and updating evolving requirements
• Assist and participate in developing and executing regression, functional, and system level tests based on business requirements

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Software Business Analyst experience in a Web Development environment utilizing agile development methodologies
• Good understanding of SQL Server database and hands-on experience in writing medium-complex T-SQL queries.
• Strong experience working with web application development teams
• Experience in testing REST APIs.
• Project oversight experience is preferred
• Proficiency in writing clear and concise technical and non-technical materials and diagramming.
• Ability to listen and effectively translate complex technical discussions into requirements
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to perform presentations
• Flexibility to adapt within a high-growth organization
• Ability to think in the abstract and see how small details fit into the bigger picture
• Sharp work ethic, analytical, organization, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Able to manage multiple projects with varying priorities and deadlines
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated ability to work within a team environment
• General understanding of industry practices, techniques, and standards on Business Analysis
• Knowledge of .NET, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus
• SaaS & low-code development business analysis experience is a plus
