Position: Laboratory Scientist-Entry
Location: Lenexa KS 66219
Shift: Tuesday through Saturday Flexible work schedule

Job Duties:

Record quality control values for each batch and notify Supervisor and/or Group Lead if unacceptable results are obtained

Perform and document temperature checks of temperature dependent equipment

Participate in completion of confirmation method and/or instrument validation studies

Participate in validation of new calibrators, controls and new or modified analytical procedures

Maintain acceptable productivity/service levels, and notify Supervisor and/or Group Lead of equipment or production problems

Complete assigned continuing education activities and competency verification checks

Follow the direction of the Confirmation Supervisor and/or Group Lead and adhere to all company and department policies

Complete all required quality control and/or quality assurance documentation related to job function

Serves as resource to co-workers and assists in the training of new personnel

Follow work schedule as defined by the Confirmation Supervisor

Actively participate in department meetings

Maintain professional working relationship with co-workers

15) Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Art degree with a minimum of fifteen semester hours in Chemistry, fifteen semester hours in Biology, and three semester hours of Mathematics is preferred

Minimum of one year of laboratory experience preferred

Knowledge of the methods and procedures used by the laboratory

Demonstrated PC knowledge

Training and experience in performing laboratory testing, maintenance of chain of custody, and understanding proper remedial action in response to problems with equipment or procedures
