Genesis10 is seeking a Sourcing Analyst for a contract position with our client in Overland Park, KS.

Job Description:

  • Responsible to support the sourcing process by assisting in market analysis, contracts and RFI/RFP development, and negotiations. Ensure sourcing processes and strategies align with company objectives.
  • Serve as liaison between vendor and internal stakeholder to negotiate sourcing contracts in the best interest of the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate daily sourcing implementation activities and processes.
  • Analyze current market trends and the forecasting of future trends under the guidance of senior staff.
  • Analyze data to create spending reports.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors to support negotiations and supply chain management.
  • Make sourcing decisions within established guidelines and parameters under the direction of management.
  • Assist in composing and completing RFIs, RFPs, RFOs, and contracts.
  • Participate in the development of purchasing guidelines that support company strategies and goals.
  • Analyze research data and lead sourcing contract negotiations with vendors.
  • Identify process improvements and potential saving opportunities.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two (2) years' experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain management.
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience using MS Office applications (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  • Demonstrated skills in negotiations and analytics.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Four (4) years' experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain management.
  • Bachelor's Degree in business, supply chain management, or procurement.
  • Experience with Source-to-Pay process.
  • Experience in the trucking/transportation industry.
  • Knowledge of procurement policies and practices.
  • Experience with Oracle and Coupa applications.
Working Conditions:
  • This job operates in a professional office environment indoors.
  • Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
Physical Demands:
  • The position requires the ability to spend long hours sitting or standing while using office equipment and computers.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as typing and keying.
  • Occasional lifting, pushing/pulling, carrying of 10 lbs of supplies and materials is required.
