Our IT Technician Service Manager leads 13 individual contributors, manages the IT Infrastructure purchasing, and IT software and contract management with a commitment to recruit, retain and grow a world-class team in a fast paced highly complex growing organization throughout US and Canada.
Core Accountabilities
- Responsible for the direction, coordination, and evaluation of assigned team, including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and managing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Model and ensure the leadership is in place to promote and enhance the company values
- Responsible for the direction, coordination, and evaluation of assigned team, including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and managing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Maintain operations within pre-defined operating level agreements and service level agreements.
- Handle purchasing for US IT infrastructure and store IT equipment. Review invoices and submit to Accounts Payable.
- Maintain all IT software licensing purchase, tracking, renewals.
- Maintain IT vendor contract tracking and renewals.
- Manage cell phone plans and billing.
- Review open issue tickets, assign tasks to IT Technicians, act as escalation point for IT Technician team.
- 5+ years of experience in infrastructure support with three years management experience.
- Proven track record in delivering results in a fast paced and highly complex organization.
- Advanced communication skills, exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills, and the proven ability to influence and communicate effectively globally and across functional lines.
- Experience in successfully building, managing, motivating, and mentoring teams of engineers and technicians.
- Ability to work well with other members of the team, peers, and senior management.
- Ability to lead and manage teams for project execution.
- Experience with deploying operating system to end user PC's.
- Experience with Microsoft Active Directory.
- Experience with Microsoft Exchange Server 2007, 2010, & 2013.
- Experience with VMware vSphere.
- Experience with Citrix Metaframe/XenServer/XenApp.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2008, 2008R2, & 2012.
- Experience with Microsoft Lync and Office Communication Server R2.
- Experience with Cisco Call Manager.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field from an accredited college or university required. Master's degree preferred.
- Applicable certifications preferred.
