Our mission is to use trauma-informed services to help children safely return to their families and communities. We are currently seeking applicants for our PRN Clinician position for our Newton, KS or Wichita, Kansas location. This person will be responsible for providing individual, group and family therapy, meeting the varied needs of the client population at FCS Counseling. Effectively market therapy services within the assigned program/school through collaborative relationships with referral sources/school personnel. Complete and maintain records for assigned clients. Coordinate client care with community service providers. Provide court reports/testimony when necessary.

How you will spend your time in this job:

• 60% Clinical Practice
• 40% Administrative

 To be a successful In-home Clinician you must become able to do the following always

• Follow Agency Policy and Procedure (current J: drive)
• Operate according to the Department Operations Manual (practice notes)
• Provide In-home family therapy, meeting the varied needs of the client population served (SED youth residing in a home environment)
• This could include clients outside of the typical catchment area using Zoom. The catchment area will be considered within sixty miles of the therapist's home location
• Conducting support groups for on-going needs identified by the Foster Care department
• Complete and maintain records for assigned clients
• Coordinate client care with community partners
• Provide court reports/testimony when necessary
• Maintain or grow in expected competency level
• Meet departmental goals and outcomes.

Qualifications



To qualify for this job you need to have:

1. Master's Degree Required (MSW, MFT, Master's degree in psychology or mental health counseling).
2. Licensed to practice with supervision or independently in the State of Kansas.
3. Practicum clinical experience required. Professional clinical experience preferred.
4. Competency in using a personal computer required. Must document information in an electronic medical record.
5. Have reliable transportation and valid driver's license. Ability to enter client homes without assistance.
6. Ability to travel, driving agency or personal vehicle including at night. Ability to do occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. Able to walk up stairs. Ability to work flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends. Employee is subject to outside environmental conditions occasionally; inside conditions frequently, with protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature change.
