Job description

The role of the Human Resources Generalist is to support the HR Manager in the day-to-day HR management, in accordance with the Group's human resources policies and procedures.

Employee Relations:

  • Act with an entrepreneurial mindset as well as with autonomy and accountability.
  • Monitors the effectiveness of employee relations programs and policies.
  • Recommends and assists in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures and their dissemination through employee handbooks, and/or meetings.
  • Provide sound advice and counsel to management in all employee relations matters.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of employee engagement activities. .
  • Management of onboarding and off-boarding planning and actions.

Reporting:

  • Coordinating, tracking and inputting month-end and year-end activities into reporting tool, including budget, monthly actuals, forecast, and annual social report.
  • Work with finance team and various stakeholders to ensure effective management and communication of headcount budget.

Administration:

  • Manages and maintains required databases.
  • Conducts formal company orientation with new hires and assists with onboarding actions.
  • Maintains record keeping within company standards.
  • Ensures associate information in HRIS systems is accurate and up to date.
  • Ensure efficient payroll and administration processes.
  • Supports benefit administration.
  • Creates and maintains training matrices and associate training records.
  • Answers employee queries related to payroll and other HR related matters.
  • Manages immigration process for employees.
  • The employee is responsible for conducting their job within the company standards.
  • Commitment to the highest ethical standards and willingness to adhere to company's Code of Ethics and Code of Management.
  • Counsels management on Federal and State Employment law.

The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • Sensitive treatment of confidential information
  • Must be willing and able to meet deadlines (payroll, monthly reporting, social report, projects)
  • Experience in a manufacturing company
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficient
  • Intermediate knowledge of employment laws
  • Ability to manage conflict
  • Knowledge of benefits and compensation
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Service-oriented communication skills



Preferred:

  • Demonstrated ability to conduct mediation, lead trainings, etc.
  • Ability to demonstrate managerial courage with all levels of the employee population
