Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
3.1 Assists with new hire orientation, including backgrounds/drug screen. Processes 30-60-90 day reviews. Follow up to ensure compliance
3.2 Responsible for all employee paperwork and computer input into the timekeeping system and Infinium
3.3 Assists in Worker's Compensation administration to include monitoring and follow up on claims with insurance company, communicates information to all necessary parties.
3.4 Responsible for the compilation of weekly payroll for full-time and temporary personnel.
5 Maintains a relationship with temporary agency to ensure employee coverage as needed. 6 Maintains employee records to ensure company attendance, vacation, and disciplinary policies are being followed.
3.7 Ensures all employee information is current and correct in the Infinium system.
3.8 Maintains flow of employment verifications, job postings, and employee forms
3.9 Processes unemployment and temporary disability correspondence.
3.10 Assists in the annual performance review process and open enrollment.
3.11 Files initial WC Claim with ESIS. Ensures employee gets FMLA information.
3.12 Prepares certain monthly/weekly reports required by Berry Corporate and our plant, i.e.: Monthly Headcount Report, Weekly hours report, Weekly OT report.
3.13 Prepares all necessary separation paperwork and communicates information to Corporate.
3.14 Works with HR Manager to plan employee events and recognition activities (Service Awards, Coffee and Conversation, Welcome Cards, etc.)
3.15 Completes and publishes monthly or bi-monthly employee newsletter
3.16 Assist in recruiting by doing initial screen in iCims and scheduling interviews. Post positions as necessary.
3.17 Maintain control of locker assignments and uniform program.
3.18 Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
4.1 Skills
4.1.1 Must be able to remember department and company policies, procedures, and recall multiple operations.
4.1.2 Must be able to analyze and prioritize projects and have the ability to respond to instructions and follow through independently.
4.1.3 Must be able to organize and plan daily activities and be able to allocate duties to others in the absence of the HR Manager.
4.1.4 Must be able to make decisions (with the help of the Plant Manager/Regional HR Director) during the absence of the HR Manager.
4.1.5 Must have strong interpersonal skills. This position deals with management, office and plant personnel.
4.1.6 Must be able to maintain focus on multiple duties and ask for guidance when prioritizing.
4.1.7 Must be able to focus on tasks to ensure error free work.
4.2 Education and/or Equivalent Experience
4.2.1 Minimum of two years Human Resource and/or general office experience
4.2.2 Basic mathematical ability.
4.2.3 Good verbal and written communication skills.
4.2.4 Must be proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Office programs.
4.2.5 Self -motivated and self-directed. Able to work with minimal or no supervision.
