At our Eddyville site, we are currently looking for a Lab Technician . Come join our growing team in Eddyville!

Purpose

The Lab Tech is responsible for performing analytical testing according to established methods, maintaining lab premises and equipment used to inspect finished products, in-process materials and raw materials that define their quality status for use.

Job Responsibilities

* Calibrates and maintains analytical equipment according to established schedules and procedures.
* Maintaining proper records; Data entry and communication of results in a timely manner.
* Responsible for having test data peer reviewed daily. Performs peer verification of for other staff daily.
* Responsible for maintaining a secure, orderly, and clean lab environment in assigned work areas.
* Responsible for knowledge of and adherence to aseptic practices for microbiological testing.
* Prepares lab reagents and solutions, maintains consumables inventory- as assigned.
* Prepares and files retained lab samples.
* Participate in the qualification and verification of analytical methods.
* Assist in maintenance and updating lab operating procedures and work instructions as necessary.
* Participate in programs and projects to improve Productivity, Quality, and Continuous Improvement

Qualifications Required

* BS degree in Chemistry or Biology is desirable
* Four years education/experience in the sciences required.
* Experience with analytical equipment and aseptic techniques required.
* Knowledge of ISO 9001, GMP's, and GLP's plus experience with HPLC and GC desired
