Job Summary

This position performs consolidated property book management services that meets the standards in AR 735-5, AR 710-2, AR 220-1 and DA Pam 710-2-1, to include TRADOC and USACC policies relating to property accountability to ensure USACC Commander/PBO meet the legal, regulatory, and policy requirements for U.S. Army property. Performs limited aspects of technical supply management work (e.g., inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization) related to depot, local, or other supply activities. Work usually is segregated by commodity area or function, and controlled in terms of difficulty, complexity, or responsibility. Assignments usually relate to stable or standardized segments of technical supply management operations; or to functions or subjects that are narrow in scope or limited in difficulty. The work generally involves individual case problems or supply actions. This work may require consideration of program requirements together with specific variations in or from standardized guidelines.

Essential Functions:

  • Collect necessary data to establish facts, and take/recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.
  • Perform work IAW applicable equipment Technical Manuals and documentation (DA Pam 710-2).
  • Attend all scheduled Government provided G-Army Training. The training is located at the School of Cadet Command (SOCC), Fort Knox, KY.
  • Operate and maintain the GCSS-Army automated property book system to include, but not limited to, input of data, reorganization of files and TDA/Common Table of Allowances (CTA) updates.
  • Additional related duties as assigned or required within scope.
  • Conduct Post Good Receipt and item consumption processing within GCSS-Army.


Working Conditions and Physical Demands
  • Must be able to exert moderate physical effort in the loading, unloading, and arranging of equipment/supplies.
  • The contractor shall be able to frequently handle equipment/supplies weighing 30-50 pounds individually and occasionally items weighing in excess of 50 pounds with assistance. Must be proficient at using a hammer, pliers, wire cutters and other hand-tools when opening containers, breaking wire banding, banding equipment/supplies and performing other supply related tasks.
  • Have the ability to work inside and outside in dirty and dusty environments, and occasionally be exposed to hot, cold, damp and drafty weather conditions while handling equipment/supplies.
  • Be able to perform work on hard or uneven surfaces.


Qualifications

Experience:
  • One (1) year unit level warehousing experience and experience with hand receipts and sub-hand receipts.
  • Three (3) years' experience in military property accountability supply procedures.
  • Documented experience using current automated government systems to maintain property accountability.

Skills:
  • Proficient with Microsoft software applications, specifically Word and Excel.
  • A good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines; An understanding of the needs of the organization serviced.
  • Position requires in-depth Unit Supply GCSS-Army knowledge with an emphasis on sub-hand receipt procedures, Post Good Receipts and supplies consumption.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to read, write, and comprehend written instructions, perform common mathematical tasks, and communicate effectively.
  • Analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect necessary data to establish facts, and take/recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.
  • Working knowledge of military writing and other technical correspondence.

Certificate, License, Registration, etc.:
  • Maintain a valid state drivers' license and obtain (maintain) a Non-Tactical Vehicle (NTV) and forklift operator's permit.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a favorable security investigation in order to be issued a Common Access Card (CAC).


Education
  • High school graduate or equivalent (GED).
