Budget Support Specialist/ Accounts Payable Clerk

Hybrid Remote

6 Month Contract to hire

Hours: 40/week

Calculated Hire is in need of a Budget Support Specialist. This resource will perform ongoing analysis of expenditure documents to ensure compliance with statewide policies for various payments; including reviewing, analyzing, approving, and releasing documents. This person will also provide single source of contact for interpretation and implementation of all company and statewide policies to company staff regarding travel expenditures, and assist with consultant pay estimates and construction payments.

Qualifications:

· Reviewing financial documents and requests

· Ability to audit Travel expenses and requests for state employees

· 2-5 years of Accounting, Finance or Auditing experience

· Experience with Agilepoint is a plus

Responsibilities:

· Provides a single source contact for interpretation and implementation of KYTC and statewide policies for travel expenditures. This includes reviewing KYTC and statewide policies and statutes, coordinating interpretation and application of such policies in regards to payments, & working closely with Executive staff to ensure Cabinet compliance

· Reviews KRS statutes and administrative regulations to assist KYTC management in developing and updating KYTC policies and procedures related to pre-audit review and reimbursement. Including any changes in the payment process, required documentation, and document analysis.

· Serves as liaison between the Division and KYTC agency staff to provide guidance and training in the interpretation and application of various payment policies to ensure the Cabinet's adherence to policies, mainly for travel documents.

· Serves as liaison between KYTC and outside vendors regarding information on pending payments.
