Homes for All Development and Volunteer VISTA

The Homeless and Housing Coalition of Kentucky's Homes for All VISTA program strives to end the threat of homelessness in Kentucky. VISTA members will provide unique services that will enable agencies to increase funding, community support, and sustainable services to low-income Kentuckians. VISTA members must be at least 18 years of age, US citizens, nationals or legal residents. Successful applicants will pass a criminal background check, be committed to serving a year of full-time service with the project, have a passion for combatting poverty, have the ability to work independently and as a part of a team, be computer and social media proficient, be comfortable with public speaking, and a willingness to learn new skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must. Most positions require members to have a personal vehicle and all members must be able to travel periodically throughout the state with a few overnight stays. This position is with Family Service Society located in Paducah, KY and has a start date of July 19th 2021. Benefits include: living allowance, end of year education or cash award upon successful completion of the program, healthcare, relocation allowance, training, networking, support, childcare assistance for those that qualify, and mileage reimbursement. Member Duties : Homes for All Development and Volunteer VISTA Project is with Family Service Society located in Paducah, KY. Member duties include: develop volunteer base through outreach and recruitment ; develop donor base through outreach and implementation of new donor management system ; create strong and appealing marketing materials to share with potential donors and volunteers
