Job description
JOB SUMMARY:
The Human Resource Director will plan, lead, develop, and coordinate the polices of the organization, ensuring legal compliance. Directing the routine functions of Human Resources including interviewing and hiring qualified job applicants, administering pay, benefits, and leave.
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Collaborates with department heads to understand the organizations goals and strategy relating to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
2. Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions.
3. Perform all necessary duties to verify pre-employment requirements.
4. Conducts new hire onboarding and employee recognition programs.
5. Develops, implements, disseminates, and administers our policy and procedures.
6. Serves as an advisor to department heads on human resource problems, policies, and procedures; intervenes in sensitive personnel matters or persistent problems to achieve resolution and long-term solutions.
7. Monitors and ensures the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, and reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
8. Conducts, reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory trainings.
9. Assist in negotiation, renewal, or replacement of benefit programs.
10. Administer personnel enrollment/termination of applicable benefit programs.
11. Performs administration of payroll on a as needed basis.
12. Manages and facilitates the annual performance review program.
13. Provide human resource outreach services to our local elected officials in the seventeen-county region.
14. Assist the CFO with the yearly budgets and audit.
15. Any other administrative or financial duties as required.
REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES:

Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
Proficient with Microsoft products and ability to learn not-for profit software.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO PERFORM THE DUTIES OF THE JOB:
Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, public administration, or related field. At least three years of human resource management experience required.
SHRM-CP a plus.
Accounting experience a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
