If you are located in Indianapolis, IN or Lexington, KY, you will have the flexibility to telecommute* as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead platform migration project to a new Taft-Hartley pension and health and welfare administration system
- Project management duties include forming a project team, writing project plan, identifying milestones, maintaining project budget, tracking progress, resolving problems and recommending actions
- Act as a liaison between the business, clients and professionals to drive identification and prioritization of business needs
- Play a key roll in improving processes and systems to improve operations and create efficiencies.
- Work with various vendors to explore new administration solutions
- Develop detailed documentation process for the entire team and create database of policies and procedures
- Perform cost benefit analysis of solutions to present to leadership
- Lead a project to create thorough and detailed ERISA compliance documentation and processes
- Report on common quality issues and develop solutions to improve quality of work

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in finance, business, or another related field or 4+ years equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience with Windows PC applications including the ability to learn new and complex computer system applications
- 2+ years Proficient MS suite of applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel(sorting and organizing a spreadsheet, VLOOKUP, creating pivot tables, and manipulating files with large data)
- 1+ Project management experience including writing project plan, tracking progress, facilitating project meetings and maintaining project budget
- Experience creating workflow charts and diagrams, studying system capabilities and writing specifications
- Demonstrated leadership, analytical, organization, interpersonal and communication skills
- Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement of this role. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination prior to employment to ensure compliance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of Taft-Hartley fund Administration
- Experience in the health insurance industry
- Working knowledge of accounting and various accounting software
- Understanding of Pension Funds
- Solid written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skills
- Independent worker who is extremely organized with strong time management skills
