Director of New Business Development
Position Summary
The Director of New Business Development will focus on building a strategy to drive new business acquisition and sales growth. The leader in this position will focus on channel expansion and new channel introductions for the Company, with a heavy focus on leveraging UW core competencies and technology. This role will partner closely with senior leadership across multiple departments to make sure there is solid alignment when looking at new business as well as a blueprint for how we target and close new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with cross functional teams to deliver a business case for new business opportunities. This will include a strong financial story for investment and ROI
- Ownership of current Fulfillment partners. i.e. Fuji, District Photo, Thread Studios, Acculink, Navitor, and Adv Photo. Develop and expand relationships beyond purchasing level. Create avenues to explore and develop new products / expanded use of UW brands for combined customers.
- Develop and maintain a New Business Road map for securing new business through Fulfillment Partners. Key customers include but not limited to Amazon Photos, Walgreens, Costco, Google Photos, Photos.com.
- Map the online marketplace for wall art and develop a plan to engage customers with a ChromaLuxe branded story to drive sales and margins for customers.
- Develop a business case for retail success for Universal Woods. This includes ownership of our Michael's business as well as reviewing the complete retail landscape for opportunities. This includes but not limited to Hobby Lobby, Amazon / eBay for e-commerce.
- Maintain customer information and sales funnel progress in company CRM
- Maintain Forecast and Demand planning needs for assigned customers
- Communicate status of the business plan and execution across peer group and with senior leadership
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Bachelor's Degree required
- 10-15+ years of progressive sales and business development success
Physical Requirements and Travel:
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time and work with a computer using hands and fingers to type
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time to deliver sales presentations
- Air and car travel required frequently.
- Ability to lift/move up to 15lbs for office equipment demo kits etc.
- Travel up to 50% for visits to customer sites, to other Universal Woods office locations in USA or abroad as needed, and tradeshows etc.

The Company: Universal Woods
Universal Woods is a manufacturer of coated hard substrates used in graphics and mezzanine decking applications. The Company serves two primary segments: (i) Sublimation, for which it supplies coated aluminum, wood, and other substrates that are to apply images through sublimation printing; and (ii) Cornerstone Wood Products ("CSWP"), for which it manufactures coated, engineered wood for warehouse mezzanine decking.
Sublimation is a form of printing that transfers inks into a coated surface, resulting in vibrant colors, long life and superior durability compared to traditional printing methods. Universal Woods sells two primary brands of sublimation substrates, Unisub and ChromaLuxe. Unisub is sold primarily in a wide variety of shapes, used in the personalized photo gift market, such as ornaments, coasters, key chains, etc. ChromaLuxe primarily sells coated aluminum and hardboard for use for printing premium fine art and personal photos.
