Position overview
We are eager to find a HR Manager who easily connects with people and has a detail-oriented mindset to handle the changing nature of the workforce. You will act as a key business partner for the Management and deals with all HR areas including recruiting, compensation, talent management, employee development, employee relations, change management and personnel administration.
Responsibilities
* Overall HR responsibility for the Louisville site.
* Align HR strategies to respond to changing business needs.
* Attend /participate in client staff meetings to provide guidance and bring insight to HR projects and HR perspectives; to better understand the group and provide superior service.
* Understand the talent needs of the business & develop plans to identify, acquire and develop the next generation of leaders.
* Understand and begin to utilize critical HR metrics to diagnose and address chronic long term challenges to the business and manage day to day issues.
* Actively participates in site leadership team.
* Play a key role with local management to assist in organizational modeling and other change management initiatives.
* Provide management with ongoing consultation on performance management tools and solutions.
* Provide management and employee coaching for the resolution of employee issues, career counseling, etc.
* Examine the organization's performance requirements in light of its strategies and business objectives and support redesigning structures and/or strategic objectives accordingly.
* Identify potential compliance exposure and make appropriate resolution recommendations.
* Support employee health and wellbeing initiatives.
* Responsible for good employee and union relations by actively managing these.
* When applicable managing local or site HR staff.
* Setup, maintain and follow up on (local) HR KPI's.
Required skills and experience
* Strong Human Resources experience, preferable within the general/ chemical industry, in multiple disciplines (Change Management, Organizational, Development, Employee Relations, Compensation & Benefits, Training, Recruiting, etc.) required.
* Sense of urgency and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to develop and maintain strong, effective internal customer/business partner relationships.
* Change management and ability to shape the environment is required.
* Knowledge of people strategies including talent management.
* Experience applying consultative and influencing skills to effectively persuade stakeholders, including senior management.
* Organizational Skills - ability to set priorities and meet challenging deadlines.
* Self-directed individual with initiative, analytical and problem solving skills.
* Diplomacy, maturity and adaptability competencies.
* Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in Business or HR Management or a related field.
