Job description
We are currently seeking an IT Project Manager for a prominent insurance company in the Louisville area. The IT Project Manager will be responsible for managing identified projects utilizing Scrum methodologies in an Agile environment, ensuring that the outputs are delivered in accordance with established goals. This role will oversee new technology initiatives to primarily support moving to a cloud-based platform and leading transition efforts in key departments. In this data migration, the right person will coach and lead one or more teams to complete various phases of this project. Responsibilities:
- Extensive coaching and leading utilizing Scrum, Agile, and Kanban practices
- Conduct weekly, or daily, ceremonies and Scrum reviews to include but not limited to sprints, planning, and grooming
- Consistently enforcing and encouraging Agile principles
- Oversee various phases of data migration from on-premise to cloud
- Must be willing to utilize a servant leadership mentality in terms of not only coaching and managing the team but also working alongside the team
- Assemble and lead project team, identifying appropriate resources needed and developing project plans
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
- Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
- Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
- Drive organizational efforts for cloud migration, working with department teams to implement new products
- Utilize appropriate Program Management Best Practices throughout the project duration
- Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project
- Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals
- Meet budgetary objectives and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field
- Six Sigma and/or Project Management experience
- Certified Scrum Master
- Demonstrated experience in technical product selection, technical design, and practical implementation of IT solutions. Exposure to Agile methodology preferred.
- Knowledge of Security, Infrastructure, or Architecture is a plus
- Experience in data migration projects would be desirable
- Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
- Proven leadership and hands-on experience in project management
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Reliable organizational skills (e.g., attention to detail, multitasking, etc.)
