Position Description Job SummaryInterested in joining an exciting and innovative team?The gypsum plant in Silver Grove, KY has an immediate opening for aProcess Engineer. This role will primarilyassist with process Innovation through close collaboration with CertainTeed and Saint-Gobain support groups in a manner consistent with CertainTeed Gypsum Vision, Mission, Values and Objectives. Utilizing World Class Manufacturing (WCM) principles, this position will focus on product formulation, process development and optimization, equipment design and optimization, general project engineering, and trial planning and execution.This position will allow for a unique opportunity of gaining experience and contributing to process engineering, project engineering and technical (board-making) projects. These experiences will allow the successful candidate to effectively contribute to designing and optimizing process equipment by knowing what is required for the process while understanding process and equipment gaps.Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in chemical engineering or similar discipline or equivalent experience. Excellent problem solving capabilities and the ability to work independently on assigned tasks. Flexible and open-minded with good written and oral communication. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of focused improvement (FI) or Kaizen experience, preferred. Previous AutoCAD experience, preferred.
