Job description
SUMMARY: The associate is expected to obtain knowledge and demonstrate the ability to safely operate the Washer, Grit Blast machines, Sit Down Forklift, and Walk Behind Forklift equipment. To ensure the manufacturing of quality products to the finishing operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. To operate load and unload washer and grit blast equipment in an efficient manner.
2. Perform and document visual and mechanical inspections to assure products conform to customer specifications.
3. Routinely perform machine maintenance and inspection of washer, grit blast and fork lift equipment.
4. Maintain housekeeping standards to ensure cleanliness of environment. Daily, crush boxes, sweep floors, clean up any chemical spills and assure no loose parts on floor after each run of parts.
5. Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
6. Prepare basic paperwork requirements i.e.: daily production sheet, process/shipping tags, disposition tags, special shipper requirements, x/r charts and production schedules.
7. To assure that equipment and chemicals are set within the parameters given on the setup sheets.
8. Ability to perform color oriented titrations procedures.
9. Comply with all Gotec Plus Sun safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
10. Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.
11. Maintain EPA guidelines with regards to hazardous/non-hazardous waste.
12. Maintain production aspects of ISO 14001 environmental system.
13. Must be team oriented.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred, however not required to perform essential duties of the job. Prior experience in a manufacturing environment especially a coating related field is desired, but not necessary.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to write clear and concise reports and general business correspondence. Ability to effectively communicate and respond to questions from groups of management, associates, customers, suppliers, and public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

1. While performing the duties of this job in the production area, the associate occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.
