Job Description:

Case Manager- Student Advocacy & Accountability

Louisiana State University invites applications for the position of Case Manager for Student Advocacy & Accountability (SAA). Reporting to the Associate Dean and Director of SAA working with conduct, this position assists in the support for fraternities and sororities, student organizations, and sport clubs as well as the administration of the Code of Student Conduct. The Case Manager is responsible for the prompt, impartial, thorough, and equitable investigations of allegations of the Code of Student Conduct and other University policies regarding fraternities and sororities, student organizations, sport clubs, and students. Through their work in SAA, the Case Manager position will help promote the divisional priorities of Quality, Mattering & Belonging, and Inclusion & Access.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS POSITION INCLUDE:

* Facilitate formal and informal resolution process for fraternity and sorority, student organization, and sport club conduct cases.
* Conduct prompt, impartial, thorough, and equitable investigations of allegations of the Code and other University policies.
* Leads resource development, trainings, and other education efforts for fraternities and sororities, student organizations, and sport clubs.
* Member of the Greek and Student Organization Accountability Teams.
* Assists with SAA assessment efforts to assure consistency with divisional priorities.

OPPORTUNITIES FOR LEADERSHIP:

Advance the support for student organizations

The Case Manager will provide support for fraternities and sororities, student organizations, and sports clubs by creating and developing resources, presentations, modules, and trainings to assist these organizations with conduct and harm reduction efforts. This will include training with judicial/standards boards for organizations, education on relevant university policies, and other harm reduction efforts.

Create and implement assessment initiatives for continuous improvement

Assessment is an integral part of advancing the strategic plan for not only SAA, but also the Division of Student Affairs, and LSU. The Case Manager will assist with leading assessment initiatives that promote the divisional priorities Quality, Mattering & Belonging, and Inclusion & Access.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Case Management: Responsible for the prompt, impartial, thorough, and equitable investigations of allegations and adjudication of the Code of Student Conduct and other University policies regarding fraternities and sororities, student organizations, sport clubs, and students. This includes report writing and summary of investigations provided to the appropriate hearing officer or University Hearing.

Panel for adjudication. Facilitate formal and informal resolution procedures for fraternity and sorority, student organization, and sport club conduct cases. (50%)

Education & Trainings: Responsible for support of fraternity and sorority, student organization, and sport clubs by creating and developing resources, presentations, modules, and trainings to assist student organizations with conduct and harm reduction efforts. This will include training with judicial/standards boards for organizations, education on relevant university policies, and other harm reduction efforts. (30%)

Special Projects: Work on special projects that may include policy development and review, assessment efforts, coordinating communication with campus and community constituents, review of documents utilized with external/internal partners, LSU CARES initiatives, participate in on-call rotation for emergencies, and other duties as assigned. (20%)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

* A Bachelor's Degree and at least two years of related professional experience working with student conduct, fraternities and sororities, student organizations, sport clubs, or closely related experience.

OR

* Master's Degree from an accredited institution of higher education and at least one year of experience working with student conduct, fraternities and sororities, student organizations, sport clubs, or closely related experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Two or more years of experience working with student conduct, fraternities and sororities, student organizations, sport clubs, or closely related experience.
* Knowledge of legal issues related to higher education and student due process rights.
* Experience in curriculum/training development and implementation.
* Experience with Maxient or other case management tracking tools.
