Job description

  • SUMMARY: Assists in recruitment and administrative human resources functions within a healthcare environment. Responsible for provider credentialing, employee verifications and assistance with employee orientation/training.

  • PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES:

PROFESSIONALISM, SERVICE, AND CONFIDENTIALITY


  • Knowledge and understanding of Employee Handbook.
  • Carry out the meaning of the CSMD Mission and Vision statements.
  • Practice a culture of safety to reduce or prevent risk of injury, claims, loss or liability by utilizing the Risk Management and Infection Control Plan.
  • Perform responsibilities with a high-quality standard to yield improved compliance, quality, and patient outcome measures by adhering to the Quality Improvement Plan.
  • Be present and ready for work as scheduled.
  • Attend in-service trainings, departmental meetings, and community events.
  • Work cohesively with team members.
  • Endeavor to perform tasks with knowledge of employment laws and alerting Human Resources Director, as necessary.
  • Provide friendly, efficient customer service to co-workers, patients, vendors, and contractors.
  • Remain neutral, yet positive in sensitive situations.
  • Perform all tasks with a high degree of integrity; always seeking to build rapport and trust amongst staff.
  • Check and respond to emails and voice messages daily; flag emails and review weekly.
  • Communicate rationally and professionally in all situations.
  • Record requests immediately; add to Outlook and follow up.
  • Ensure confidentiality of employee information; always ask before releasing information.
  • Respond to inquiries affirmatively; seeking advice or answers from others, as needed.
  • Conduct responsibilities with safety and risk reduction as a goal (employee, physical, or financial).
  • File employee documents accordingly with respect to the type of document in the correct employee file.


CANDIDATE RECRUITMENT, EMPLOYEE, AND INTERN ENGAGEMENT


  • Forward or arrange all qualifying candidates to hiring supervisor.
  • Follow up with managers to ensure timeliness of position placement.
  • Assist managers in the selection of applicants and the interviewed candidates for hire.
  • Coordinate with managers and schedule interviews.
  • Prepare interview packets at minimum, the day prior to the interview.
  • Reserve conference rooms for interviews and orientation.
  • Ensure all questions are asked and ratings completed by the panel.
  • Steer managers on course with legal line of questions; interjecting as necessary.
  • Conduct employment verifications.
  • Complete pre-hire checklist and prepare all necessary packets.
  • Ensure interns have completed packets.
  • Present orientation and ensure new hire paperwork completion.
  • Explain benefits options to new hires.


HRIS TECHNOLOGY AND COMPUTER UTILIZATION


  • Post all positions as announced on various media utilizing search and screening filters.
  • Input employee data (demographics, pay, training, credentials, etc.) into human resources information system, retirement, and LMS systems accurately; double-check inputs before storing into employee file.
  • Utilize computer systems; i.e.; Outlook or Office365, to manage and prioritize tasks to ensure timely follow-up and efficient processing.
  • Responsible for organizing and executing professional recognitions.
  • May draft other communications or forms, as requested.


CREDENTIALING


  • Research Medicaid sanctions and other medically fraudulent activity through Office of Inspector General (OIG) monthly and electronically save to OIG folder.
  • Responsible for maintaining current credentials for all providers by calling and/or emailing providers prior to expiration dates to ensure timely submission.
  • Credential new hires using appropriate credentialing checklist and recredential current

providers.

  • Communicate with providers on upcoming expirations until receipt of renewed credential

and / or signatures on delineation of privileges, health statements, etc.

  • Communicate with Finance and Billing regarding provider credentials and renewals and

provide renewed documentation.

  • Immediately verify through primary sources all copies of credentials received and enter

into HRIS system for tracking reminders.

  • Review all credentialing folders weekly for any upcoming renewals.
  • Stay informed of credentialing requirements set forth by Health Resources and Services

Administration (HRSA).

  • Ensure all credentialing files are prepared for audits and guide auditors through files, as

needed.


COMMUNICATION AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT


  • Communicate status of all tasks, assignments, and special projects to Human Resources Director; particularly, if there are concerns, confusion, or timing issues, to ensure all deadlines are met or reevaluated.
  • Review and communicate changes for time punches weekly.
  • Continually seek out professional development via HR publications or LMS.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management,

Organizational Psychology or related field.

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, PDA, USERRA, EPA, ERISA, OSHA, Title VII, etc.) and governing authorities (DHS, EEOC, DOL, etc.)
  • Human Resources certification is desired through HRCI or SHRM.
  • Five years of human resources experience; preferably with a healthcare or credentialing focus.
  • Must be able to work independently after receiving instructions.
  • Must have strong computer skills for Outlook, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and human resource information systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

PAY RANGE: $45,302.40 - 67,059.20
