Pontchartrain Partners, LLC has an opening for a Human Resources Generalist or Assistant to join our team in LaPlace, Louisiana! The Human Resource Generalist will be responsible for full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, and daily HR support.
Benefits: Health, Dental and Vision Insurance programs
Pay: $37,000 to $50,000 per year depending on years of experience
General Job Duties:

• Recruits and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions.
• Coordinates all onboarding functions for new hires, including, but not limited to issuing offer letters, initiating background checks, and new hire paperwork.
• Prepare or maintain employment records related to events, such as hiring, termination, leaves of absence, transfers, or promotions.
• Administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, disciplinary matters, disputes, performance reviews, recognition, and morale.
• Handles all employment-related inquiries from employees and supervisors.
• Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
• Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
• 2 to 3 years of Human Resources experience.
• Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality, work independently, and follow up on inquiries.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
