Job description

Spherion is seeking a Wire Transfer Operations Specialist I for a LONG TERM, temporary assignment at a local bank.

This role provides quality, accurate and timely customer service involving daily processing of financial transactions in a fast-paced, time sensitive operations environment, which include the duties and responsibilities described herein.

Shift: Monday-Friday: 8a-5p
Hourly Pay Rate: $16.50

Responsibilities

• Processing all incoming and outgoing wire transfers (Domestic, International USD, and International Foreign Currency) for external and internal customers
• Ensure compliance with all established Federal Regulations for Wire Transfers (OFAC, BSA/AML, Dodd-Frank, etc.)
• Answer a high volume of incoming telephone calls on an ACD recorded line for Wires
• Provide a high level of professional Customer Service
• Resolve problems and carry out research
• Performing end-of-day reconciliations
• All duties as assigned

Desired Skills:
Proficient at Microsoft Office suite.
Experience with Jack Henry and Wire systems preferred.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required.
3 years of experience in Customer Service, Operations or a combination of both required.
2 years of Wire Payments or Transfers experience
1-2 years of Banking related work experience preferred.
