Job description

Summary: GCSS-A Property Accountability Technicians (MOS 92Y) are required to lead and manage Property Accountability and Assistance and Training (PAAT) teams for Supply/Property Operations. The PAAT teams will provide property accountability assistance and training at the unit level to increase and sustain Soldier knowledge in logistics, property accountability, and unit supply systems. (This position is contingent on award of the contract.)

Duties and Responsibilities:

The GCSS-A Property Accountability Technician (MOS 92Y) will perform advisory and supervisory duties to supply specialists performing the following; conducting inspections and providing technical assistance to storage activities; assisting in development and preparation of operations information including plans, maps, sketches, overlays, and other data related to unit supply organizations; performing liaison between contractor and military personnel performing supply and property book activities or in command and staff logistics activities; analyzing operations statistical data and reports to ascertain functional trends, conformance to standards and directives, and efficiency of operations.

The GCSS-A Property Accountability Technician (MOS 92Y) will serve as principal Subject Matter Expert of supply and services operations; provide advice and supervise supply specialists open and covered storage management of supplies and property applying the gamut of capabilities provided by the GCSS-A system to include receipt, storage, classification, issue, materiel handling, supply locator systems, disposition, retrograde, facility safety, and supply security operations.

The GCSS-A Property Accountability Technician (MOS 92Y) will supervises management and training of materiel support functions in stock control and accounting, procurement, inventory control, and item financial management; provides advise, guidance and supervises development and preparation of operations information, plans, maps, sketches, overlays, and related data to supply and service organizations; analyzes reports on supply and service support operations.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

Candidate must demonstrate capability to perform, manage and supervise Army retail supply operations in addition to the following:

Must possess a minimum of five years of experience to include:

  • Army Supply Policy Below the National Level and Unit Supply Systems

Demonstrate proficiency with the following Logistics Information Systems:

  • Global Combat Support System - Army (GCSS-ARMY)
  • Army Enterprise Systems Integration Program (AESIP)
  • Logistics Information Warehouse (LIW)
  • Army Records Information Management System (ARIMS)
  • Force Management System Website (FMSWeb)
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Contractor personnel must be knowledgeable in:
  • Property Accountability
  • Financial Liability Investigation Property Loss
  • Inventory and inventory adjustments
  • Requesting and receiving supplies
  • Property responsibility
  • Organizational Clothing & Individual Equipment (OCIE)
  • Management of Classes of Supply; I, II, III, IIIP, IV, VIII
  • Excess management

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Must be able to obtain a favorable National Agency Check Investigation
  • Must have as a minimum a high school diploma
  • Must have experience and be proficient in the use of GCSS-A modules and applications.
  • Must have a minimum of Five (5) years of Army retail supply experience.
  • Licensed to drive/operate Forklifts; must have a valid drivers license to drive POV in the Installation.
