Accountant

Job purpose

We are seeking a highly organized and responsible Accountant to join our growing organization. In this position, your responsibilities will include Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, G/L account reconciliations, journal entries, and various financial analysis.

Primary Duties

· Manage vendor invoice processing and bill payment.

· Accounts receivable payment posting.

· Process and record bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll transactions.

· Preparing and posting journal entries to accounting system of record.

· Reconciliation of various GL accounts.

· Various financial analysis and reporting.

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent industry experience.

· Minimum 2 years related accounting experience.

· Understanding of accounting rules and procedures including GAAP.

· Experience with accounting software and data entry.

· Payroll processing experience (ADP preferred).

· Proficiency using Excel.

· Self-starter and independently motivated.

· Able to manage priorities and multi-task.

· Exceptional attention to detail.

· Strong organizational and communication skills.

Working conditions

Normal business office environment.

Ability to sit in artificial light for extended periods of time.

Physical requirements

· Operation of a Personal Computer and viewing information on a monitor.

· Must be able to sit for many hours each day.

· Must be able to communicate via telephone and possess dexterity to include filing document, reaching, and bending.

· May be required to stand for extended periods of time.

· Ability to lift or carry up to 20 pounds

· Ability to speak English, express ideas and have difficult conversations in person and over the phone

· Ability to listen and comprehend speech.

· Ability to problem solve, make decisions, interpret data and information, read, write, and organize information in an orderly manner.
